Mrs. Uwemediso Rahila Udoaka is the Administrator and Overall Coordinator for Deeper Life High School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
She is responsible for the administrative activities, supervision, project management, strong problem solving and technical skills. She possesses confidence in decision-making for effective and efficacious solution that leads to high gains for the organisation.
Before Uwemediso took this role in 2011, she was a Classroom Teacher (2008-2011) who was saddled with the responsibility of teaching Business Studies and Christian Religious Studies (CRS). Later on, she held the positions of Vice Principal (2011-2012), Principal (2012-2019) and, currently the Administrator (2019- till date). Other essential responsibilities being engaged with are supervision, coordination and management of students/staff material resources. Her dexterity is seen in the way learning was organized outside the classroom for students’ excursions to such places as Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic, to name just few. In 2020, she presented students for international competitions and had laurels. During the Bloombreed’s (2020) essay writing competition, the students came first. Likewise, students who represented the school in Stem Professions (2020) became the Overall Best, Overall Best in Rivers State (Junior Category) during the 2022 Nigeria Spelling Bee season, 2nd Runner Up in Nigeria Spelling Bee (National Competition-(Senior Category) (2021) at Nasarawa, and 2nd Runner Up in African Spelling Bee (2022) at Malawi. Uwemediso presented students for 2022 International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the results impressively witnessed a lot of A*s, As, Bs and fewer Cs. Two of the staff members were awarded the best teachers of the year during the 2020 Maltina Teacher of the Year and 2022 Maltina Teacher of the Year. In addition, she recently presented the school for 2023 Rivers Rotary Club Mathematics Competition (4th edition) and came second position (Junior Category) with several awards (cash inclusive) in Rivers State. In 2023 Invitational Relay Races by the neighbouring schools, the students came First Position in both boys and girls’ races.
Uwemediso earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration from National Open University of Nigeria and a Bachelor in Tech. Edu. (Hons) in Business Education (2008) from Federal University of Technology Yola. She also earned her West African Senior Secondary Certificate (WASSCE) (1988) from Yelwa Government Secondary School, Yola and First School Leaving Certificate (1983) from Cham Primary School, Bauchi State.
Uwemediso has attended innumerable number of workshops, conferences, symposia and fora, locally, nationally and internationally.
