Aderemi Funmilayo is a highly accomplished educationist with a proven track record of success and steady growth. She has had the privilege of working in diverse institution of repute after she bagged a degree in Mathematics Education in the year 2007. She began her journey into work life as an Account Assistant in Martrite Nig. Limited in 2007 and in less than two years, she became the Account Supervisor of the organization. Her passion for quality education and a commitment to student growth and development moved her back on course in spite of some juicy prospects she had in the Accounting field. Hence, her teaching career started in Baptist Model High School Ilorin, where she taught Mathematics and Further Mathematics in 2010. In 2011, she joined the prestigious institution – Deeper Life High School, Ilorin Campus where she served for three weeks as the Mathematics and Music Educator before she was transferred to Lagos Campus where she worked for twelve years.

Working in DLHS, an institution of great repute, since 2011, has helped in realizing her greatest dream of influencing and impacting the younger generation. She has garnered experience in different section of the school setting. She worked as a class teacher, house mistress, form tutor and also as head of department in 2018. She does her job with a great sense of sincerity, openness, tenacity, tactfulness and doggedness. She is also very meticulous and thorough in handling every task or responsibility given to her.

She significantly contributed to the development and implementation of innovative educational programs, resulting in improved student outcomes. She fostered a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and active participation.

She taught Mathematics and Further Mathematics at all levels in the school. Her quest for knowledge and better productivity inspired her to acquire certification in Extension Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics. She taught IGCSE students for 5years with beautiful records of outstanding performance. Other certificates she got to her credit were awarded by: British Council Partner Schools, 2022; Oxford University Press certificate in Cambridge A Level Maths, 2019 and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, 2017.

She mentored and supported fellow educators, sharing best practices and facilitating professional development opportunities. She collaborated with stakeholders, including parents, administrators and community organizations to enhance the overall educational experience. She once worked as the chairperson of the students’ disciplinary committee of the school for two sessions. She graciously combines friendliness with firmness in her dealings with the young folks.

She demonstrated exemplary leadership skills, overseeing the senior school as the Quality Assurance Officer. She implemented strategic initiatives that led to increased student enrollment and retention rates. She is dedicated to promoting strong relationships with staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
