Welcome Address
by the Principal

Welcome to Deeper Life High School, Lafia campus, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.

We are a Faith-based school, one unit out of twenty-three locations present in various states in Nigeria.

In DLHS Lafia campus, every child is important and every child is raised to become a leader with distinction just like the visioner, Pastor (Dr.) W.F. Kumuyi, the Proprietor of the school and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, worldwide.

Our core values are Discipline, Integrity, Honesty, Holiness and Hard-work. These form the bed rock upon which the education of every student of the school is anchored and galvanized to future success.

We are poised to produce students who are academically well-grounded, morally upright and adequately equipped as future leaders by employing the weapons of spiritual chastity, sound pedagogy and the latest technological know-how – AI and Robotics.

DLHS Lafia, opened its gate to welcome the first set of staff (6) and students (16) on 17th September 2016. Presently to the glory of God we have over three hundred students and about seventy staff members. Now in her seventh year of operation, the school can boast of having successfully produced award winning scholars and two sets of graduates, breaking new grounds in various institutions of higher learning within and outside the country.

Admission into the campus occurs only at Basic 7, there is no mid-stream admission. The entrance examination usually comes up in April. Candidates are tested in Mathematics, quantitative and verbal reasoning, English language, social studies, vocational aptitude and general knowledge. Successful candidates are subsequently interviewed for possible admission. Given the passion of the Proprietor, Pastor Dr. W.F. Kumuyi for impacting the lives of young people positively, there is no discrimination of race, nationality, ethnicity, religious background or gender in considering students for admission. However, intending students are expected to have attained a reasonable level of maturity so as to cope easily with the rigorous curricular and extra-curricular schedule of the school.

The school is situated in a very serene environment devoid of distractions so as to allow students pay maximum attention to their studies. Our other cutting edge include;-

  • One laptop computer per child, e-learning, e-notes and fully automated-learning process.
  • Robotics and artificial intelligence training
  • Leadership and Entrepreneurship training programme
  • Instrumental training
  • Conducive spiritual environment where every child is given individual attention
  • Well-equipped science, technology and home-economics laboratories, and cultural and creative art studio
  • Godly fathers and mothers as principals, educators, matrons and house fathers/mothers

Within its few years of existence, the school has won many laurels which include;

  • Winner of National Olympiad Competition as the Best School in Junior Informatics.
  • Two times Winner of American Mathematical competition (at the state level).
  • Winner of the State Spelling Bee Competition organized by KRP Foundation for Education and Migration Awareness.
