by the Principal

Highly esteemed parents, guardians and viewers, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the official website of Deeper Life High School, Onitsha Campus, Anambra State.

Deeper Life High School is a mission, co-educational and full boarding secondary school committed to all round qualitative education, with emphasis on academic and moral excellence. It is a school which has several campuses spread in many other states of Nigeria.

To transform our nation by producing upright leaders of the future through high quality and sound education is the vision of this great citadel of learning.

Deeper Life High School, Onitsha campus was among the first seven (7) campuses established in the states of the federation in November 6, 2010 and since then, we have been making footprints in the sand of time.

Our school is located in a caring community which enables students develop their academic, moral, spiritual, social, physical and creative attributes thereby fostering independence of thought and an enduring love of discovery and learning.

Our accommodating, dedicated, experienced and professional educators support the learners to foster a feeling of positive self-worth, by delivering quality, interactive and effective lessons to ensure academic excellence. Here, we train students who are well rounded in academics, technology, artificial intelligence and sports. 

We make distinctive grades in our internal and external examinations and competitions such as WASSCE, NECO SSCE, JAMB and IGCSE.

We prepare our learners to be academically well grounded, morally upright and adequately equipped as future leaders. This is to enable them compete nationally and internationally with their peers in a very competitive world.

There is a big catalogue of our products who graduate yearly with excellent results, gain admissions into reputable universities, in and outside Nigeria, and graduate top of their class.

This notable school has gone to numerous competitions and has excelled in almost all. There are some records that speak volumes about the stunning laurels that the school has won.

Anambra State is an Igbo speaking state in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. It is made up of 98% Ibo and 2% Igalla speaking people.

Ogba waterfalls

Ogba waterfalls is located in Owerre-Ezukala town. It is a waterfall in front of the Ogba Ukwu cave and is a major tourist attraction in Anambra state. The Ogba waterfalls has the gigantic Ogba rock as its source and forms a rainbow colour as it falls on the pile of rock below.

The Kenneth Dike Memorial Library

The Kenneth Dike Memorial Library is situated at Aroma junction, Awka, Anambra. It is one of the few private libraries in Nigeria. This library was named after Kenneth Dike, the first vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan and can be accessed for free.

The Ikenga Virgin Forest in Nigeria

The Ikenga Virgin Forest in Nigeria: It is a thick forest reserve, till date it has neither been cultivated nor its trees cut. It is a typical rainforest composed of tall evergreens, climbers and thick shrubs reputed to be the home of many species of animals that have gone extinct in other parts of the country. At the centre of the forest is a communal shrine presided over by a high priest who protects and ensures that the sanctity of the forest is never compromised.

The River Niger Bridge

The River Niger Bridge is located in Onitsha South Local Government Area. This bridge connects Onitsha with Asaba and is the gateway between south-east Nigeria and Southwest Nigeria. It is also a nice place to take some pictures with the river Niger as its background. French construction giant, Dumez, constructed the Niger Bridge, to link Onitsha and Asaba in present-day Anambra and Delta States respectively at an estimated cost of £6.75 million. Construction of the bridge was completed in December 1965.

The Ogbunike Caves

It is located at Ogbunike, Anambra state are the Ogbunike caves. These caves were discovered 100 of years ago by a hunter that was known as Ukwa. These caves are situated in a tropical rain forest very close to the Ogba hills. This place is believed to have protected the people of Ogbunike during the slave trade era. Ogbunike caves is not a place for the faint hearted!

The Odinani Museum

The Odinani Museum is located in Nri and was founded by the Archaeology Department of the University of Ibadan. It has received wide recognition for its documentation of the ancient Nri Kingdom whose monarchy dates back to about 900 AD.

Agulu Lake

Agulu Lake is located in Anaocha Local Government Area. This lake has a width of about 7km and is endowed with different species of crocodiles and fish. Its beautiful scenery makes it a great place for picnics with family and friends. Fishing is not allowed on the lake and the crocodiles, being sacred animals to the people, cannot be killed. Legend says that these crocodiles were instrumental in delivering the town from enemy soldiers during the Nigerian civil war. It is believed that these sacred crocodiles and turtles transformed themselves into beautiful ladies and lured the soldiers unawares into the lake where they disappeared without trace. At noon the crocodiles and the turtles appear at the banks of the lake to take in sunlight.
