Welcome Address
by the Principal
You are warmly welcome to Deeper Life High School, Port Harcourt Campus, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Deeper Life High School is a conglomeration of people of different intellectual capability and widen horizon and orientation whose undeniable years of excellent contributions of over ten (10) years have contributed immensely to the holistic outcome of what we are today.
As a faith-based colossal citadel of learning, our operations started in the year 2010 as an extension of DLHS Nationwide with the singular aim of bringing sound education, warding off darkness out of our society, emotional stability, leadership prowess, and all-round trainings to both old and newly admitted students of Rivers State with a view to producing the total child.
The Campus, and as the general practice of the school, nation-wide, admits students in the first year of Junior Secondary (JS), basically in Grade 7. On this ground, at graduation, such students would have successfully experienced six solid years of quality education and transformational formation and thereby become open-minded to mental expansion, academic excellence, spiritual maturity, psychological, moral, and emotional stability, intellectual competence, as well as physical growth.
Our entrance examination holds yearly before the beginning of a new session and it is based on the curricula developed by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) for Basic 4-6.
Our entrance examination questions cover such subjects as English Language and Mathematics. Subsequently, oral interview is conducted by our admission experts to the successful candidates in the written entrance examinations.
Very important also, in view of the nature of education and formation offer at DLHS Port Harcourt, which places huge demands on both staff and students, interested candidates are expected to be in primary 6 – that is Grade 6 – and at least 11 years old when they begin their six-year journey in the Campus.
Our curricular and co-curricular activities are designed to empower the students and unleash their creative potential in becoming agents of change that is true to our mission and vision. Please be aware that we have won innumerable number of awards in Olympiad Mathematics, Spelling Bee, Maltina Teacher of the Year for Nigeria Teachers, Rotary Club Mathematics Competition, Informatics and Science, Inter-School Debate, Invitational Relay Races, Child Genius Competition, among many others.
We normally enroll our students for International General Certificate Secondary Examination (IGCSE), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and Cambridge Checkpoint. Our results have always been mind-blowing and massive.
Parents and Guardians who desire this quality of education and robust academic packages for their children are welcome to visit the school. We look forward to meeting and working with you to provide the best possible education for your child.
