Mr. Akiode, Banji Jonathan is a proactive, creative, innovative, honest, discipline and passionate leader in any given assignment.   He is the current Principal of Deeper Life High School, Lafia Campus since 2016 till date. Under his leadership, Deeper Life High School Lafia championed the cost of been the first secondary school in Nigeria to be the National host of the Nigeria Spelling Bee, he successfully hosted all the Private Schools in Lafia North during 2022 Children Day Celebration, successfully organized Annual inter-house sports completion event Laurels and Competitions Won.

Prior to his resumption at Deeper Life High School, He worked with Jeed Trinity College, Ilasamaja-Isolo, Lagos as HOD Languages and English Language/Yoruba Teacher between 2006 – 2008. He was saddled with the following responsibilities: Examining and marking lesson notes of teachers in the Department, checking the subject diaries and ensuring that records of work done are entered every week, reviewing the curriculum and schemes of work and recommending improvement where necessary. coordinating the academic work of all teachers in the Department, recommending books from the approved list of each class to the Vice Principal.

Since his inception of duty in Deeper Life High School, he has successfully completed the administrative block to a befitting taste, completion of classroom building to DLHS standard, construction of two buildings for boys hostel and two-storey building for girls to accommodate the students, construction of twelve well equipped classrooms with Computer Based Test (CBT) facilities and two examination halls. He had also constructed a well-equipped Physics/Agricultural Science laboratory, Biology/Chemistry laboratory, Home Economics/Food and Nutrition laboratory, Creative and Cultural Arts studio and Music studio. As a proactive leader, he had also made provision of four departmental staff rooms and an ICT room, construction of Basket Ball Court, Volley Ball Court, Badminton Court, Table Tennis and Football field. He has also installed CCTV cameras covering hostels, classrooms, Admin. Block and Multi-purpose hall. Provision of one 100 KVA and one 50 KVA power generating plants to ensure steady power supply in the event of power interruption by Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and the procurement of one 50 KVA transformer. Procurement of drone for periodic surveillance of the school environment and provision of well-equipped Health Bay with qualified personnel.

Mr. Akiode, Banji Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts (English) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. He has his National Certificate in Education (NCE) English/Yoruba from Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He received his Teachers Certificate (TC11) from Egbado Teacher Training College, Ogun State. His objectives include striving for excellence and precision at all times, in all positions and circumstances, attaining professional distinction and proficiency.
